FRP Chemical Storage Tanks | GRP Industrial Tanks | Fibreglass Acid & Alkali Tanks | Corrosion-Resistant Process Vessels
Some materials cannot be stored in ordinary vessels. Concentrated acids. Caustic alkalis. Industrial effluents. Aggressive process chemicals that destroy mild steel within months and expose your facility and your people to risk no operation can afford. For these applications, the storage vessel is not a commodity decision. It is an engineering one. JK Fibre Glass Works manufactures premium FRP Chemical Tanks - precision-fabricated, resin-engineered, and built to contain the most aggressive chemical media across the most demanding industrial environments. Tanks that do not corrode. Do not contaminate. Do not fail.
Mild steel corrodes rapidly in acids, alkalis, and chlorides, requiring coating systems that degrade and demand periodic reapplication - and when the coating fails, contamination follows. Concrete is porous, cracks under hydrostatic pressure, and is permanent. Stainless steel carries a cost premium rarely justifi ed when FRP delivers equivalent or superior chemical resistance at a fraction of the weight and price. FRP is the engineered solution - with resin selection, laminate architecture, and surface treatment specified precisely to your chemical, concentration, temperature and pressure requirements.
Every tank begins with a specification, not a template. The corrosion barrier - the inner contact surface - is engineered using the resin system matched to your stored medium: isophthalic polyester for mild chemical service, vinyl ester for strong acids and oxidising media, epoxy for the most demanding chemical and solvent environments. Behind it, the structural wall is calculated for hydrostatic load, nozzle loads, wind loading, and process-specific requirements. The exterior receives a UV-stable coat protecting the laminate across its full service life. Tank Range Acid tanks for hydrochloric, sulphuric, nitric, phosphoric, and hydrofluoric acid service. Alkali and caustic tanks for sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, and ammonia. Wastewater and effluent treatment vessels including aeration tanks, clarifiers, and dosing tanks. Chlorine and hypochlorite tanks with oxidation-resistant resin systems. Petroleum and oil storage tanks. Custom process vessels with agitator mounts, baffles, and complex nozzle configurations. Underground tanks with buoyancy resistance and anti-corrosion exterior treatment. Food-grade potable water tanks for buildings, hospitals and campuses.
Vertical, horizontal and conical-bottom orientations. Single-wall and double-wall construction. Open-top or covered with man way access. Custom nozzle layouts, flanged connections, and structural support brackets. Capacity from 500 litres to several lakh litres. Filament-wound construction available for high-pressure and large-diameter vessels. Industries Served Chemical manufacturing, water and wastewater treatment, oil and gas, pulp and paper, harmaceuticals, agrochemicals, mining, food and beverage, power generation, commercial buildings and EPC projects.
